It’s hard to believe that Unhinged has only been open for about a month. With the traffic to the shop, Facebook, Twitter, and Blog it feels like we have really made our way into this community. Competition is stiff, but the people of Sugarhouse and Salt Lake have welcomed the shop without too much fight.

What is Unhinged you might ask if maybe you stumbled onto this blog? We are a small modern and vintage clothing shop in Salt Lake City, just SE of downtown in an area called Sugarhouse. Unhinged’s atmosphere fits right in with the vibe of Sugarhouse.

It’s a small town feel and with Westminster and University of Utah close by, it provides a nice mix of college students and older families. Highland High School is just up the road as well, so high school kids add to this feel.

The main customers that we are getting are the college and high school students that seem to be within walking distance of the shop. It adds to the small town feel when people walk in the front door with no signs of a vehicle.

Across the street is a Barnes and Noble and a fairly large shopping area, which makes for a great location to walk around Sugarhouse and do some window shopping.

Because of the trending but original modern and vintage clothing that the shop carries, it is a unique shop to run into. Along with the glamourous selection of classy attire, there is a large vintage gift selection throughout the shop. And accessories and jewelry fill the spaces in between.

If you live in downtown Salt Lake or Sugarhouse, Unhinged is a short bike ride away. I think you’d be surprised at how much you’d want to buy after only spend a few minutes in the shop. Stop in today!! We hope to see you soon!
